Chronic Pain
We all experience pain from time to time. When we have an injury, pain is the body’s way is telling us that something is wrong and we need to take care of ourselves. As our body heals, normally the pain subsides.
Chronic pain is different. When it lasts for 3 to 6 months or more, it’s called chronic pain. It can be caused by an initial injury or medical issue, and persist after the initial cause is gone. Some individuals suffer chronic pain without having an associated prior injury. It affects how your conduct your day-to-day life as well as your mental health.
