Dr. Daniel Mirro is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than thirty-five years of experience in the integrated treatment for all forms of psychiatric problems. He specializes in adolescent and adult psychiatry, hypnotherapy, group therapy, marital and family therapy, and psycho-pharmacology.

Dr. Mirro is also an expert in integrating psychoanalytic and psychodynamic treatments with psycho-pharmacology. He is widely known for being able to blend medication and psychodynamic approaches. For his patients where this combination protocol is appropriate, he’s been able to achieve exceptional results.

Dr. Mirro received his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine (Bellevue Hospital) in New York City. He interned at Lenox Hill Hospital (New York City) and his psychiatric residency was completed at Mt. Sinai Hospital (New York City). Following his residency, Dr. Mirro taught psychiatric residents at the University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University.

Since joining the Yang Institute of Integrative Medicine, Dr. Mirro has enjoyed working with specialists in eastern and western medicine to offer patients a full range of healing options that place the patient’s needs above any single form of therapy.
